Roundup: Lima Senior wins conference opener in girls soccer

LIMA — Lima Senior defeated Bowsher 9-4 won its inaugural Toledo City League girls soccer match Tuesday at Spartan Stadium.

Ava Sheeter had three goals and two assists, Maisie Strawser had two goals and two assists), Angela Fronzaglia had a goal and two assists) and Gabby Avalos, Ashley Huerta Tayco, and Taleah Cook each had a goal for Lima Senior. Alli Fronzaglia had two saves and Jaislyn Ingram had five also for the Spartans.

luncheons

LIMA — Learn about this season’s Lima Senior High School football team and get to know Coach Bill Lawrence at the weekly luncheons scheduled to start Friday.

The luncheons will begin at noon Fridays at The Spartan Inn, located inside Lima Senior. There will be menu items and a full salad bar offered.

Each week Lawrence will talk about the previous week’s game and the upcoming matchup. He will also take questions from those attending. The Spartans play their home opener at 7 p.m. Friday against Findlay. Contact the Athletic Office at 419-996-3050 for more information.
