Roundup: Minster wins girls golf invitational

CELINA — Minster claimed the team title at Friday’s Celina Invitational played at par 72 Celina Lynx.

Ashlyn Homan (87), who was sixth individually, Ashley Meyer (91) and Star Weigandt (96) and Lauren Heitkamp and Kendyl Bergman (104) contributed to the winning 378 total.

Parkway (400) finished second followed by Archbold (410), Celina (411), Versailles (430), Graham (439), Wayne Trace (440), Defiance (451), St. Henry (471), Marion Local (502), St. Marys (505), Lincolnview (512), Shawnee (529), Coldwater (572). Wapakoneta and New Bremen did not have enough players for team scores.

Celina’s Maddie Fleck finished third individually with an 83. New Bremen’s Abbie Burden (88) was seventh, Celina’s Sara Tester (89) was eighth and Parkway’s Shay Boroff (89) finished ninth. Wapak’s Natalie Hefner (106), Lincolnview’s Liz Phillips (109), St. Marys’ Lilleigh Sampson (110), Shawnee’s Kylie Larimore (112), St. Henry’s Grace Beyke (117), Marion Local’s Allison Dirksen (124) and Coldwater’s Madison Bruns (129) had the low rounds for their respective schools. Graham’s Zoey Merritt was medalist with a 76.
