MUSKEGON, Mich. — Winning pitcher Steven Cash and Alex Figueroa combined to allow five hits and a walk while striking out 13 as the Lima Locos defeated the host Clippers 1-0 in the first game of a best-of-three Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League series Thursday night.
Jack Porter knocked in Eduarny Martinez on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning for the game’s only run. Teammate Aidyn Coffey also doubled.
Lima will try to clinch the series at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Simmons Field.
