USFL postseason tickets on sale

CANTON – Playoff and championship-game USFL tickets are on sale.

The USFL North Division championship is scheduled for Saturday, June 24. The championship game, pitting the North and South winners, is set for Saturday, July 1. Kickoff for both games is 8 p.m. at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

Prices range from $30 to $100 for the division championship and $33 to $120 for the league championship. Go to theusfl.com to purchase tickets and for more information.

The matchup for the North Division championship will be determined this weekend, the regular-season finale. The winner of the Pittsburgh-New Jersey game at 1 p.m. Saturday in Canton advances to the playoffs. Philadelphia and Michigan play at 7 p.m. Sunday in Detroit to determine the opponent. The North Division championship game will be televised on NBC.

In the South Division, returning USFL champion Birmingham Stallions will meet either Houston, Memphis or New Orleans. The South Division championship game will be at Birmingham at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 25, and televised on Fox.

The championship July 1 will air on NBC.

The league, which is winding down its second season, uses a hub format with two teams assigned to a city. New Jersey and Pittsburgh play in Canton.

The hub cities are Birmingham, Canton, Detroit and Memphis.

In the inaugural championship game in 2022, the Birmingham Stallions beat the Philadelphia Stars, 33-30.
