BATH TOWNSHIP — The Bath Local Schools Board of Education approved the hiring of Kirk Looser as the next boys high school varsity basketball coach Wednesday.
Looser has more than 20 years of experience as a boys basketball JV coach and varsity assistant coach at Delphos Jefferson, Bath and Wapakoneta.
He was an assistant coach for Doug Davis when Bath went to back-to-back boys basketball Division II regional championship games in 2013 and 2014 and won a share of the Western Buckeye League championship in 2013, the first WBL boys basketball title for the Wildcats in 43 years.
Looser replaces Sean Powell, who left earlier this month to become the Lima Central Catholic boys varsity coach.
