CONVOY — Carson Hunter allowed no hits while striking out six in five innings as Crestview defeated Bluffton 12-0 in baseball Tuesday.

Nate Lichtle had three hits and Bryson Penix and Parker Speith each had two hits and a pair of RBI.

Findlay wins Classic

CANTON — The University of Findlay won the Cav Classic at par 72 Glenmoor Country Club.

The Oilers finished with a two-round total of 612. Tiffin (634) finished second. St. Marys graduate Jill Schmitmeyer led UF with a 75-74 — 149. Teammates and Lima Central Catholic graduates Mary Kelly Mulcahy (80-74) and Erin Mulcahy (77-77) tied for third with 154 totals.

ADA — Ohio Northern improved to 5-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a victory at the West Campus Courts.

The Polar Bears improve to 14-4 overall while the Yellow Jackets fall to 3-13 (1-4 OAC).

Northern won the three doubles courts by a combined 24-5 to take a 3-0 lead.

Lima Central Catholic graduate Olivia Kesner and Flo Sanchez won 8-0 at No. 3, Jamie Hurst and Julianne Sheldon won 8-2 at No. 2 and Abby Cruser and Jenna Bell won 8-3 at No. 1.

In singles play, Bell won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 and Katie O’Connell won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 to put ONU ahead 5-0 and clinch the match.

Regan Landis then won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, Sheldon won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6, Hurst won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 2 and Cruser won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1.
