Bath’s Blaine Albright fanned a school-record 19 batters in tossing a one-hit, complete game where he walked two. At the plate, Jackson Kohlreiser had a hit and drove in a run and Rickey Deppe and Tyson McGee each scored.

Van Wert’s TJ Stoller throws a 5 inning perfect game NS collects 2 hits AND drives in 3 runs.

Bryan 2, Ottawa-Glandorf 1 (8 innings)

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf hurler Mitchell Schroeder scattered four hits over six innings of work while striking out three and walking two. Titan Kaleb Yoder drove in a run.

Kalida 10, Delphos Jefferson 0

DELPHOS — Kalida’s Colin Hoffman fired a five-inning complete game one=hitter as he fanned nine and walked two, At the plate, Evan Klausing and Jaden Smith were both 2 for 3 with an RBI and Jacob Siebeneck was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI.

Marion Local 7, Allen East 4

MARIA STEIN — Marion Local’s Jake Topp went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Hayden Poellelman drove in two runs. For Allen East, Carson Clum went 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored and Braylen Kennedy was 2 for 4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Ridgemont 11, Temple Christian 0

RIDGEWAY — Ridgemont’s Jebadiah McGue and Hayden Oates combined on a one-hit shutout. McGue went 3 and one-third innings of work where he fanned eight and walked one while yielding no hits. Oates went one and two-third innings and he struck out four and walked two. Offensively, Linkyn Furer went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Patrick Henry 5, Miller City 2

MILLER CITY — Miller City’s Ethan Barlage went three innings while surrendering three hits and striking out three and walking four. At the plate Brendan Barlage had two hits.

Parkway 7, St. Marys 6

ROCKFORD — Parkway’s Fletcher Smith went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI and a run scored and Caiden Berry and Brayden Bruns both drove in two runs. For St.Marys, Ethan Hollandsworth drove in two runs. Taking the hard-luck loss was Billy Bourk who went six innings while striking out 17 and walking two in six innings of work.

Paulding 4, Ottoville 2

OTTOVILLE — Ottoville’s Grant Leis went 2 for 3 with a run scored and Jayden Saxton drove in a run.

Allen East 15, Marion Local 0

MARIA STEIN — Allen East’s Savana Brooks went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a triple, 7 RBI and 2 runs scored and Hannah Williams had a double and drove in three runs. Aniya Prowant and Maggie Wanamaker each had two hits. On the mound, Mustangs’ Nikki Thaxton pitched a five inning, no-hitter as she fanned 10 and walked one.

Bath 16, Lima Central Catholic 6

Bath’s Rachel Clark, Olivia Foster and Elena Oliver all had 3 hits and Elena Oliver and Tea Sibert had 4 RBI each. On the mound, Madi Edelbrock went four innings and surrendered five hits while striking out four and walking none. Kyree Stumbaugh pitched the final two frames and gave up four hits and three runs while striking out 1. For LCC, Anna Wannemacker went 3 for 3 with 2 runs.

Upper Sandusky 11, Kenton 1

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky’s Liv Gier pitched a complete game one hitter. For Kenton, CJ Newberry had a hi and scored and Brayla Butler drove in the lone Wildcat run. Maddie Erford had two hits and scored twice.

Miller City 5, Patrick Henry 1

MILLER CITY — Miller City’s Bella Reyna fired a complete game three-hitter while striking out seven and walking one. At the plate, Taylor Wilhelm went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and Taylor Michel went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Parkway 19, Van Wert 0

VAN WERT — Parkway’s Meg Henkle and Bryn Schoenleben combined on a five inning four hitter. Henkle struck out two. At the plate, Brittlyn Bruns went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs and Madison Louth wasn 3 for 5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs. Meg Henkle went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs and Paige Stephenson went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI.

Women’s Basketball

ONU player honored

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Brynn Serbin (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) was named to the 2023 Women’s Basketball All-America Second Team by D3hoops.com.

The D3hoops.com All-America team is chosen by D3hoops.com staff in consultation with All-Region voting results from players nominated for All-Region. The list is comprised of 25 student-athletes with five selected to each of a first through fifth team.

Serbin was selected as the D3hoops.com Region 7 Player of the Year as a member of the All-Region First Team earlier this month.

Monday’s accolade is Serbin’s second All-American honor of 2023, as she was also selected to the 10-member Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-America team.

The WBCA also named Serbin to its 2023 NCAA Division III Women’s Collegiate All-Star Team. She was one of 20 senior women’s basketball players from across the country selected to the team.

With Serbin leading the charge, the Polar Bears finished with a record of 25-5 this season, including a 15-3 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference play. Northern won both the OAC Regular Season championship and OAC Tournament title en route to earning the 10th NCAA Tournament bid in program history.
