Allen County Invitational

LIMA — The Bluffton girls and Shawnee boys won team titles at the Lima Family YMCA.

Bluffton’s Izzy Stechshulte won the 100 and 200 freestyles and joined Jenna Downey, Allison Diller and Ella Armstrong in winning the 200 freestyle relay.

Shawnee’s Addisyn Newman was first in the 200 IM and 100 butterfly and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay team with Morgan Schimmoeller, Ansley Newman and Kayla Frost.

Elida’s Arleigh Amspoker won the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

Schimmoeller (500 freestyle) and Bath’s Sydney Koslakiewicz (100 breaststroke) were individual event winners.

Bluffton’s June Essinger, Zoe Shank, Rory Youngpeter and Ella Armstrong combined to win the 400 freestyle relay.

In the boys competition, Bluffton’s Riley Verb won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke and was a member of the first-place 200 medley relay team along with Jackson Bowlus, Xavier Diller and Charles Wright. Bowlus also won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke and joined Xavier Diller, Jacob Lehman and Charles Wright in winning the 400 freestyle relay.

Shawnee’s Mason Latham (200 IM), Bath’s Landon Stahler (50 freestyle), Shawnee’s Thomas Koh (100 butterfly) and Bluffton’s Xavier Diller (500 freestyle) each won an individual event.

The Shawnee foursome of Daniel Koh, Connor Latham, Mason Latham and Carter Cleaves was frist in the 200 freestyle relay.

Shawnee was first in the combined standings and Bluffton’s Grady Schaublin, Stechshulte, Allison Diller and Verb joined forces to win the mixed 200 freestyle relay.

Van Wert Duals

VAN WERT — Versailles defeated Van Wert 56-18 to win the team championship. Spencerville topped Crestview 48-15 for third and a team of Woodward and Lima Central Catholic competitors fell 42-15 to Hicksville in the seventh-place competition.

Van Buren Invitational

VAN BUREN — Allen East finished third (144.5) behind Tinora (238) and Lakota (189.5) in the 32-team event.

Allen East’s Kade Wireman, who reached 150 career wins, won the 157 pound division and teammate Eli Criblez was first at 285 pounds. Trenton Gatchell (165) was third and Aizik Myers (106) and Jacob Pinks (150) were each fifth also for the Mustangs.

Columbus Grove (97.5) was eighth, Lincolnview (40) was 20th, Kenton (30) was 22nd, Bluffton (27) was 24th, Ottawa-Glandorf (18) was 25th and Pandora-Gilboa (7) was 31st.

Ethan Beam (120) and Kyle Lathrop (175) were each fourth and Boat Thompson (126) and Logan Mershman (157) were each sixth for Grove. Kenton’s Anthony Hunt (150) was third, Bluffton’s Jett Blackburn (138) and Kyle Basil (165) were each sixth and O-G’s Justice Pope (138) was fourth, Joe Sawyer (126) was fifth and Tyler Ulery (285) was sixth for Lincolnview.
