Division IV

Van Wert 29, Perkins 22

SANDUSKY — The Cougars Luke Wessel blocked a field goal attempt and Brylen Parker returned it for a score to secure the victory and advance to play West Holmes (12-0) in at a yet to be determined site Saturday, Nov. 12.

Van Wert’s Aidan Pratt ran for a touchdown and completed 19 of 26 pass attempts for 253 yards and had TD throws to Maddix Crutchfield and Connor Campbell. Nate Phillips had four catches for 91 yards also for the Cougars (11-1).

West Holmes 56, St. Marys 21

MILLERSBURG — St. Marys’ Aiden Hinkle had 23 carries for 149 yards and two touchdowns and teammate Colton Mabry had a TD run. The Roughriders finished their season at 9-3.

Division V

Coldwater 14, Huron 3

COLDWATER — Jack Ebbing had 18 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown and Cody Depweg had a TD run for Coldwater. The Cavaliers (11-1) will take on Liberty Center (12-0), a 41-7 winner against Liberty-Benton, at a yet to be determined site Friday.

Columbus Grove 34,

Northwestern 22

WEST SALEM — AJ Schafer had three TD runs and Trenton Barraz, who had 21 carries for 125 yards, and Brenton Renner each had touchdown for Grove.

The Bulldogs (10-2) advanced to play Colonial Crawford (11-2), a 21-14 winner against Carey, at a yet to be determined site Saturday, Nov. 12.

West Liberty Salem 0

MARIA STEIN — Drew Lause had six carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns, Tate Hess, Kyle Otte, Darren Meier and Parke each had a TD run and Ethan Heitkamp returned a punt for another score.

The Flyers (12-0) advanced to play Versailles, a 47-0 winner against National Trail, at a yet to be determined site Saturday, Nov. 12.

Pandora-Gilboa 21

MCCOMB — Ethan Luginbill had 29 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns and Cory Gerten connected with Aidan Morris on a TD throw for the Rockets, who finished their season at 8-4.

Antwerp 35, Delphos Jefferson 34

ANTWERP — The Wildcats finished their season at 7-5.

Gibsonburg 30, Waynesfield-Goshen 20

WAYNESFIELD — The Tigers finished their season at 11-1.

DEGRAFF — David Homan had 13 carries for 114 yards and a pair of TDs and had a touchdown throw to Grant Dicke. Hunter Schaefer had 15 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns and converted a 26 yard field goal.

The Cardinals (9-3) advanced to play Ansonia (11-1), a 46-5 winner against Springfield Catholic Central, at a yet to be determined site Saturday, Nov. 12.

Minster 45, Mechanicsburg 21

MECHANICSBURG — The Wildcats (8-4) advanced to play Fort Loramie (10-2), a 55-27 winner against Charleston Southeastern, at a yet to be determined site Saturday, Nov. 12.

ONU in second

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Calob Cope and Celina graduate Holden Cubberley each won events to lead Ohio Northern on the first day of the Calvin (Mich.) Quad Meet on Friday night at the Venema Aquatic Center.

The Polar Bears are second of four teams with have 228 points after six of 20 events. Calvin is first with 591, Carthage (Wis.) is third with 216 and Albion (Mich.) is fourth with 177.

Cope touched first of 30 swimmers in the 500-yard free in 4:53.27 and Cubberley defeated nine other divers to win the 1-meter diving with 480.55 points. Cubberley’s score was just 16 points off the school record 496.30 mark by Rick Jobe in 1985.

Polar Bears at quad meet

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Ohio Northern is in fourth place after the first day of the Calvin (Mich.) Quad Meet on Friday night at the Venema Aquatic Center.

The Polar Bears have 156 points after six of 20 events. Calvin is first with 497, Carthage (Wis.) is second with 251 and Albion (Mich.) is third with 195.

Mara Brown led Ohio Northern with a fourth place finish in the 200-yard I.M. in 2:19.76. FMeghan Mattison finished behind Brown in seventh place in 2:21.77.
