Roundup: St. Marys falls in volleyball district finals

BLUFFTON — Eleventh-ranked Liberty-Benton defeated St. Marys 25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-14 to win the Division II high school volleyball district championship Thursday night at Bluffton University.

Brynn Clark had 10 kills, four blocks and four aces, Halle Huston had 10 kills, Ashlie Nuss had eight digs, Lily Rammel had eight digs and 26 assists and Addison Lauth had four blocks for St. Marys.

WAPAKONETA — Top-ranked New Bremen defeated No. 2 Marion Local 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 for the district title and will play the winner of Saturday’s match between No. 15 Jackson Center and Fayetteville-Perry at 6 p.m. Wednesday in a regional semifinal at Northmont.

Lydia Eifert had nine digs, Julia Moeller had 15 assists, Reagan Kremer had nine kills, Nora Eckstein had three aces, Natalie Evers had 10 assists and Chloe Ronnebaum had seven kills for Marion Local.
