CELINA — Elida’s Analei Jackson had two goals, teammates Hannah Jones and Payton Kuhn and Celina’s Taylor Klingshirn, Rachel Rammel and Kenlee Holstad each had a tally and Elida’s JoJo Knight had three assists. Elida advanced to play at Shawnee at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Division III

Coldwater 3, Spencerville 0

COLDWATER — Ellie Schneider, Avery Knapke and Leah Kaiser each had a goal and Leah Kaiser and Hope Hemmelgarn each had an assist as the Cavaliers moved on to play at Continental at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Bluffton’s Sami Scoles (player of the year) and Jamie Mehaffie (coach of the year) received top Northwest Conference honors.

Joining Scoles on the first team were Rilyn Jones (Allen East), Lauryn Auchmuty (Columbus Grove), Lyv Lindeman (Delphos Jefferson), Grace Goecke (Spencerville), Ella Marshall (Ada), Julia Mehaffie (Bluffton), Allison Diller (Bluffton), Aubrey Young (Allen East), Hanna Schroeder (Columbus Grove), Riley Eachus (Bluffton) and Katelynn Castle (Crestview).

Making the second team were Kylee Dientsberger (Delphos Jefferson), Olivia Burkhart (Ada), Macy Kulwicki (Crestview), Makayla Schweingruber (Bluffton), Gwen Langhals (Columbus Grove), Olivia Matthews (Bluffton), Addyson Dowler (Crestview), Devanie Pingle (Columbus Grove), Reagen Emerick (Allen East), Alexandra Greer (Spencerville) and Grace Myers (Columbus Grove).

Lima Senior’s Allison Fronzaglia has been named first team all-Three Rivers Athletic Conference. Teammates Hailey Hahn, Kaitlyn Thompson and Am’Briell Nichols received honorable mention recognition.

CELINA — The Bulldogs won 25-13, 25-15, 25-9

Payton Bertke had 35 assists, Allison Schwieterman had 13 digs, Mylee Sapp had nine kills, Brooklyn Bourne had eight kills, Amelia Lutz had eight kills and Samantha Jenkins had three aces for Celina, which will play host to Wauseon at 6 p.m. Thursday.

St. Marys 3,

Napoleon 1

ST. MARYS — The Roughriders won 25-12, 25-17, 19-25, 25-12.

Halle Huston had 13 kills, Brynn Clark had 12 kills and three aces. Syerra Greber had 10 kills, Lily Rammel had 40 assists and 10 digs, Ashlie Nuss had 11 digs and Gracelyn Johns had five aces for St. Marys, which will play Otsego at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Celina.

Rammel also set a school record with her 52nd ace of the season, breaking Emily Schnarre’s 1998 mark.

BOWLING GREEN — The Bulldogs fell 28-26, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17. Addisyn Freeman had nine kills and three blocks for Elida.

Wauseon 3, Bath 0

The Wildkittens fell 25-18, 25-9, 25-18. Claire Armentrout had five kills and six assists and Claire Foust had 16 digs and six blocks for Bath.

Shawnee 3, Van Wert 0

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — The Indians won 25-7, 25-19, 25-16.

Kelly Cooper had 21 kills, Karleigh Hutchins had seven kills, Grace Freiberger had 25 digs and Addison Maxwell had 30 assists for Shawnee, which will play Defiance at 6 p.m. Thursday at Liberty-Benton.

DEFIANCE — The Wildcats fell 25-10, 25-23, 25-9.

DELPHOS — The Blue Jays won 25-13, 25-9, 26-24. Abby Kerner had seven aces and nine digs, Grace Moenter had five aces and 19 assists, Emma Will had 10 digs, Laila Sites had 11 kills, Madilyn Conley had nine kills and Mia Conley had four blocks for DSJ, which will play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Crestview.

Jaylen Sautter had five kills, Brynn Fortman had 14 digs and Claire Kiene had six assists and eight digs for Grove.

Minster 3, Waynesfield-Goshen 0

MINSTER — The Wildcats won 25-11, 25-8, 25-13. Alayna Prenger had six aces, Kayla Lamm had three aces, 10 kills and five total blocks, Lyndi Hemmelgarn had three aces and nine digs and Lilly Barhorst had 10 kills, 11 digs and four total blocks for Minster, which will play at Marion Local at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Sami Parker had six assists, Tatelyn Faraglia had eight kills, Zaria DeLeon had eight digs and Olivia Turner had six digs for W-G.

DOLA — The Polar Bears won 25-11, 25-21, 25-16.

Katie Good had seven kills, Heidi Trachsel had seven kills, Kylee Legge had 25 assists, Ava Hopson had 12 digs, Blaire Hipsher had nine digs and Bella Wilson had nine digs for Hardin Northern, which will play at Mohawk at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

New Knoxville 3, Ada 2

NEW KNOXVILLE — The Rangers won 23-25, 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 15-6 and will play Perry at 6 p.m. Thursday at Marion Local.

Autumn Andreasen had 18 assists and 13 digs, Lily Baumgartner had nine kills, three aces and 15 digs, Courtney Sumner had 27 digs, Alyssa Madison had three aces and Tessa Griffith had 12 digs for Ada.

KALIDA — The Wildcats won 25-19, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16. Malia Romes had 15 kills, Elyse Romes had eight kills and five total blocks, Maria Gerding had 34 assists, Brooke Erhart had six aces and five total blocks, Whitney Unverferth had 19 digs and Riley Nienberg had 10 digs for Kalida, which will play at 6 p.m. Thursday against Lincolnview at Leipsic.

Delaney Bowers had 15 kils, 11 digs and four aces, Macie Cordes had 13 digs, Teaghan McDougle had 37 assists and 11 digs, Lauren Williams had six kills and nine digs and Rhaegan Marshall had six kills for Continental.

MILLER CITY — The Wildcats won 25-13, 25-17, 25-21. Morgan Verhoff had 12 kills and 18 digs, Savanna Niese had seven kills, Libby Erford had 19 digs and four aces and Josie Otto had 29 assists for Miller City, which will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against Ottoville at Crestview.

Lima Senior is hanging on to a playoff spot at No. 15 in Division II, Region 8.

The top 16 schools from each region in the final report Sunday will qualify for the playoffs.

In D-III, Region 12, Wapakoneta is fourth and Celina is 12th.

In D-IV, Region 14, Van Wert is fifth and St. Marys is eighth.

In D-V, Region 18, Coldwater is second and Bluffton is 18th.

In D-VI, Region 22, Columbus Grove is fifth. In D-VI, Region 24, Marion Local and Allen East are first and second respectively and Parkway is 18th.

In D-VII, Region 26, Lima Central Catholic (second), Waynesfield-Goshen (fourth), Upper Scioto Valley (eighth), Pandora-Gilboa (ninth), Delphos Jefferson (11th), Hardin Northern (13th) and Ada (16th) are all in the top 16. Crestview and Delphos St. John’s are 17th and 18th respectively and Leipsic is 20th.

In D-VII, Region 28, New Bremen and Minster are fifth and sixth respectively, Fort Recovery is 12th and St. Henry is 19th.

UF’s Schmitmeyer

receives honor

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay’s Jill Schmitmeyer, a St. Marys graduate, has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week.

The Oilers, ranked No. 6 in the most recent Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll, finished runner-up last week at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial, which featured eight nationally ranked teams.

Schmitmeyer finished in a tie for sixth. The two time all-American carded rounds of 1-over-par 73 in the first round, 71 in the second before a 73 at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Georgia. This is Schmitmeyer’s first Athlete of the Week this season and the sixth of her career.

OAC recognizes

ONU’s Honigford

ADA — Ohio Northern’s Grace Honigford was named the OAC’s Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 11-17.

This marks Honigford’s second straight OAC Player of the Week accolade this season and the eighth of her career.

The latest recognition comes after Honigford earned Medalist honors with an 81-81—162 in the 33-player field at the Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic at Bluffton Golf Course.

That marked Honigford’s first time earning medalist honors this season and the 13th time in her career.

HCAC award goes

to Bluffton’s Kujawa

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University’s Evan Kujawa has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

Kujawa powered the Beavers with a 147, securing a first-place tie while breaking his own school record by two strokes at the Beaver Fall Classic. Kujawa rallied from six strokes down to force a playoff before falling to Wooster’s Krishang Nayak on the first extra hole.

ranked No. 21

ADA — Ohio Northern is ranked No. 21 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll.

Chicago (Ill.) is the top-ranked team in the poll.

Messiah (Pa.), Kenyon, Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.) and Johns Hopkins (Md.) round out the top five.

Additionally, ONU is ranked No. 2 in the sixth United Soccer Coaches Region VII poll of the season, trailing Kenyon.

Northern also received 56 voting points in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll for Week 7, which was released on Tuesday, putting the team at No. 30 in that poll.
