Roundup: Minster wins girls golf sectional

OTTAWA — Minster snagged the team championship Tuesday at the girls Division II golf sectional at par 72 Moose Landing Country Club.

Katie Heitkamp (90), Ashlyn Homan (93), Ashley Meyer (96) and Lauren Heitkamp (109) combined for the winning 388 total.

Coldwater (399) and Parkway (430) also earned spots at Monday’s Sycamore Springs district.

Jordan Hemmelgarn (85), Natalie Ashbaugh (100), Kennedy Voskuhl (103) and Brooke Harlamert (111) contributed to Coldwater’s team total. Parkway’s Shay Boroff (104), Madison Louth (104), Emily Clutter (111) and Addysin Leighner (111) posted scores used for Parkway’s total.

Medalist Bridget Mulcahy (79) from Lima Central Catholic and Lincolnview’s Zoey Tracy (90) claimed individual berths. Ottoville’s Lexie Honigford defeated Elle Gable from Delphos St. John’s in a playoff for the third individual qualifying position after each shot 93.

Marion Local’s Lydia Kelch (97), New Bremen’s Abbie Burden (101), Fort Recovery’s Emma Will (103), St. Henry’s Audrey Wendel (107), St. Marys’ Lilleigh Sampson (112), Delphos Jefferson’s Avery Eickholt (119), Crestview’s Elizabeth Gent (123) and Hardin Northern’s Lauren Lenhart (132) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Auglaize sectional

DEFIANCE — Miller City’s Chelsea Erford, who shot a 90, earned an individual spot at the Sycamore Springs district in a playoff at par 72 Auglaize Golf Club.

Miller City finished fifth (425) in the team standings with Van Buren (359), Hicksville (371) and Napoleon (362) qualifying for the district. Pandora-Gilboa’s Anna Parkins posted a 97 playing as an individual.
