LEIPSIC — Leispic won 24-12, 25-17 and 25-17. Leipsic’s Kasey Brough had 17 kills and Alaine Brown added 17 digs and four aces. Serenity Seifer had 22 assists and Danaysia Danzy had 11 kills. Marisa Hermiller added seven kills and Alivia Jones had nine digs and three aces.

BEAVERCREEK — Bluffton’s Alek Davis scored the lone goal for the Pirates. Pirate keeper Kyle Basil recorded seven saves.

KALIDA — Miller City’s Taylor Wilhelm scored the lone goal. Wildcat keeper Liz Otto had four saves and Kalida goalie Kassid Hipsher had six saves.

WAPAKONETA — Van Wert’s Keaton Foster was the match medalist with a 41. Other Cougar scores were A.J. Proffitt (45), TJ Stoller (47) and Blaker. This was a match that was rained out earlier in the year and finished.

DELPHOS — Delphos Jefferson’s Isaac Gallmeier was the medalist with a 39. Other Wildcat scores were Brdy DuVall (46), Casey Knippen (48), Kadyen Slygh (50), Case Carder (50) and Kellen Carder (61). Miller City’s Jesse Lammers led the team with a 41. Other team scores were Jesse Lammers (42), Will Auto (43), Andrew Weis (43), Jude Auto (44) and Brayden Neise (48).

FINDLAY — Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt was the match medalist with a 40. Other Viking scores were Nick Schroeder (43), Luke Spoors (44), Diego Lomeli (45) and Adam Lammers (50). Owen Huffman led P-G with a 44. Other Rocket scores were Elam Suter (46), Aiden Harris (50), Anna Parkins (51) and Derrick Teders (51).

Coldwater’s Keegan Bruggeman led the team with a 39. Other Cavs scores were Tyler Overman (40), Ben Giere (41) and Ethan Overman (44).

DELPHOS — Lincolnview’s Zoe Tracy was the medalist with a 45. Other Lancer scores were Paige Dunn (56), Morgan Anspach (57) and Liz Phillips (60).

Lima Central Catholic’s Bridget Mulcahy, playing as an individual, shot a three over par 38 to finish second out of 20 participants.

Bath got singles wins from Elena Oliver, Anne Oliver and Lexi White and doubles wins via forfeit from Allyson Harnishfeger and Kelsie Carlson and the pair of Ava Gibson and Tea Sibert.

Bluffton 4, Elida 1

Bluffton got singles win from Brooke Camper, Rory Youngpeter and Ava McCamery and a doubles victory from teh pair of Catilyn Couch and Hannah Nieman. Elida got a doubles win from the pair of Abby Campbell and Mya Long.

Lima Senior Homecoming events

Lima Senior High School will celebrate homecoming week with several activities for students, staff and the community.

The week will begin with an All Fall Sports Community Pep Rally and Bonfire at 7 p.m. Monday beginning in the Lima Senior Gymnasium. This is a new addition to homecoming week and the community is invited to participate.

The pep rally will include the Lima Senior cheerleaders. Spartan marching pride and the introduction of fall athletes and coaches. Following the pep rally (approximately 7:30 p.m.), the band, cheerleaders, coaches and athletes will exit through the activities entrance of the building, walk east on High Street to the shot put area across from the stadium for the bonfire. Everyone attending the pep rally is invited to the bonfire.

A Homecoming parade is planned before the Friday’s football game. The parade will begin in the parking lot east of Lima Senior and move down High Street and into Spartan Stadium, where parade participants will take a lap around the track. The parade will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The Spartans will take on Oregon Clay at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Court will be recognized and King and Queen crowned before the game at 6:30 p.m. The gates to the stadium will open at 5:30 p.m.

UNOH softball coaches let go

The University of Northwestern Ohio has parted ways with softball head coach Tracy Coffman and assistant coach Tom Reipenhoff from their duties UNOH confirmed Wednesday. 1

In an email from UNOH, it stated, “Coaches Tracy Coffman and Tom Repeinhoff are no longer associated with the University and the school added that they could not discuss the particulars of personnel matters.

Coffman, who finished her ninth year last year, was named the Racers head coach in March of 2017 and under her direction the team posted winning seasons in seven or nine years at the help. She had a lifetime record of 196-137 and won the WHAC Tournament in 2018.
