Roundup: Howard has four TD throws in Lima Senior’s victory

TOLEDO — Aiden Howard completed 11 of 21 pass attempts for 213 yards and four touchdowns, including a pair of TD throws to Sumarion Doughty in Lima Senior’s 42-0 victory Friday night against Rogers. Kaden Hampton and Anthony Mosley each had a TD reception, Jamal Webster ran for a touchdown and Trent Williams returned a punt for TD.

Spencerville 37, Paulding 13

PAULDING — Josh Henline had a pair of TD runs and completed 15 of 26 passes for 169 and a pair of touchdowns to Nate Coulter, who finished with five catches for 100 yards.

Elida 45, Kenton 14

KENTON — Larkin Henderson had 121 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries and threw a TD pass to Keaton Hawkey, which finished with six catches for 84 yards. Teammate Brady Kirk rushed 19 times for 137 yards and a touchdown. David Etzkorn had a TD run and Grant Hardeman converted on a 32-yard field goal attempt also for the Bulldogs. Korbin Johnston had a TD run and completed 11 of 18 pass attempts for 208 yards and had a TD throw to Kooper Johnston, who finished with three receptions for 94 yards.

MCGUFFEY — Alex Sanders had four touchdowns as part of his 14 carry, 130 yard rushing night.

Ryan Roberts, Jason Helton and Tommy Carl each had TD runs also for USV.

DEFIANCE — Aiden Hinkle ran for a pair of TDs as part of his 18 carry, 148 yard effort. St. Marys opened the scoring with Brayden Sullivan returning a blocked field goal for a touchdown.

Pandora-Gilboa 42, Bluffton 7

PANDORA — Ethan Luginbill had 19 carries for 164 yards and four touchdowns. Carson Meyer completed 13 of 19 pass attempts for 242 yards and a TD throw to Derek Maag, Aidan Morris had six receptions for 106 yards and Eli Luginbill had a TD run also for P-G. Gavin Bogart had a TD run for Bluffton.

Van Wert 43, Celina 7

CELINA — Aidan Pratt completed 24 of 35 pass attempts for 277 yards with a pair of TD throws to Maddix Crutchfield, who finished with nine catches for 125 yards. Brylen Parker, who returned a punt for a score, had a pair of TD runs and teammate Briston Wise also ran for a touchdown. Celina’s Zander Jones had a TD run and returned a punt 65 for another score.

Ayersville 41, Delphos Jefferson 21

AYERSVILLE — Delphos Jefferson’s Brayton Scalf had an interception return for a score and also caught a TD pass from Trent Teman, who also had a TD throw to Karder Agner and completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for 242 yards. Teammate Andrew Miller had seven catches for 147 yards.

Crestview 42, Hicksville 12

CONVOY — Isaac Kline had 124 yards rushing and a pair of touchdown on 17 carries, Braxton Leeth had a pair of TD runs and Carson Hunter had a touchdown run and threw a TD pass to Kellin Putman, who finished with three receptions for 113 yards, for Crestview.

Coldwater 31, Bellefontaine 21

BELLEFONTAINE — Marcel Blasingame had three TD runs and completed 11 of 16 pass attempts for 215, including a TD toss to AJ Harlamert. Justin Kaup connected on all four extra point attempts and a 23 yard field goal.

SHERWOOD — Hayden Hiegel had 106 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries, Quin Schroeder had a touchdown run and completed 10 of 11 pass attempts for 164 yards and a pair of TDs to Estevan Carrillo and Tommy Offenbacher had a TD pass to Mike Jimenez for Leipsic.

ROCKFORD — Fletcher Smith completed 15 of 18 pass attempts for 261 yards and four touchdowns, two to Logan Green, who had six catches for 80 yards, and one each to Caiden Berry and Landen May. Eddie Nichols had 14 carries for 230 yards and three touchdowns.

DOLA — Carter Curtis ran 14 times for 138 yards, including a 97 yard TD run, Colby Curtis had nine carries for 104 yards and a TD and Bodi Hipsher returned an interception for a score and caught a TD pass from Nolan Hopson, who also rushed for a touchdown for Hardin Northern.

ADA — Levi Green had TD throws to Jayden Bankston and Levi Sousley, Jalee Bolden had 20 carries for 106 yards and Casen Jones had a touchdown run for Ada.

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Jacob Hershberger had touchdown throws to Keaton Lehman, Jack Hoel, Carson Clum and Joe Hoel. Joe Hoel, Trey Hensley, Jack Hoel and Jacob Pinks each had a touchdown run.

URBANA — Troy Homan rushed 29 times for 156 yards and four touchdowns and teammate Ethan Harnagel had 24 carries for 118 yards.

ST. HENRY — Curtis Puthoff had a touchdown pass to Harrison Wendel and Michael Gonzalez connected for a 26 yard field goal.

MCCOMB — Tate Hess had TD passes to Nathan Buscher and Aiden Eifert and returned an interception for a touchdown, Darren Meier had a pair of TD runs and Ryan Homan had a TD pass to Victor Hoelscher.

SOUTH CHARLESTON — Wade Gamble led Ridgemont with nine carries for 46 yards.

MANSFIELD — Elida’s Carson Harmon shot a 4-under 68 to earn medalist honors at par 72 Oak Tree Golf Club. Brice Engle (97), Caleb Harmon (97) and Carter Davisson (99) also contributed to the Bulldogs’ ninth-place score of 361 in the 12-team field. North Royalton won the team title with a 321 total and Findlay (322) was second.

The Lima Locos Executive Board has named Sean Boley and Matt Rau as dual General Managers.

Boley will oversee club operations while Matt Rau will oversee the players and club personnel. They will work collaboratively in decision making and will report directly to the executive board.

“The unique qualities of these two lifetime baseball men will definitely bring a new dynamic to the standard role of a singular general manager and will further our club’s endeavors to take the Lima Locos to the next level of excellence.” Board President Bill Leahy said in a news release.

Boley, a Locos player from 2005-07, played baseball for four years at the University of Toledo. He has also coached baseball for seven years and has been a member of the Locos Board of Directors for the past five years.

“What the Lima Locos organization has been able to accomplish over the years is incredible, and I look forward to working closely with Matt in our expanded roles to serve the team and the community,” Boley said in a news release.

Rau served as a Locos assistant coach in 2015 and 2016 and has coached baseball for 10 years. His baseball endeavors include Major League Baseball experience as an Arizona Diamondbacks associate scout for three years (2011-2013). He has served on the Locos Board of Directors for three years. including the past two years as the assistant general manager.

“I am excited to begin working with Sean in our dual roles to enhance the Locos’ organization and build upon the history and legacy of the past 36 years of a great tradition.” Rau said in a news release.

ELIDA — The University of Northwestern Ohio won 29-27, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17 to open the Racer Rumble at the Elida Fieldhouse. Logan Thomas had 27 kills, six aces and 10 digs, Aubree Ricketts had 21 digs and Crestview graduate Bailey Gregory had 10 digs for the Racers, who are scheduled to play Fisk University at 2 p.m. today followed by a 6 p.m. match against Miami-Middletown.
