Roundup: Carter Curtis scores 4 TDs in Hardin Northern victory

ARCADIA — Carter Curtis rushed 20 times for 240 yards and four touchdowns as Hardin Northern opened the football season with a 44-19 victory Friday night against Arcadia.

Colby Curtis rushed 16 times for 95 yards and a pair of TDs and Nolan Hopson had 12 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown also for the Polar Bears.

LEIPSIC — Quin Schroeder completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for 197 yards and a pair of TDs, Hayden Hiegel rushed 24 times for 156 yards and two touchdowns, Estevan Carrillo had eight receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown and Jayce Brecht had a TD catch for the host Vikings.

Crestview 51, Parkway 14

CONVOY — Carson Hunter completed 15 of 21 pass attempts for 248 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for another TD. Isaac Kline had 13 carries for 75 yards and a TD, Kellen Putman had two TD receptions and Wren Sheets and Parker Speith each had touchdown catch also for the Knights.

Parkway’s Fletcher Smith completed eight of 12 pass attempts for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Landen May had four receptions for 80 yards and a TD and Caden Heindel had a touchdown reception also for the Panthers.

CELINA — Adam Faber caught a 13-yard pass from Nick Adams for Celina’s touchdown. Adams completed 11 passes for 102 yards and Faber made four receptions for 28 yards.

Coldwater 37, Kenton 2

KENTON — Marcel Blasingame rushed 16 times for 188 yards and a trio of touchdowns and also completed a 42-yard scoring pass to Braylen Harlamert.

Fort Recovery 14

FORT RECOVERY — Wayne Trace bounced back from a 14-6 deficit. Fort Recovery’s Cole Rammel completed 12 of 16 pass attempts for 195 yards and had TD throws to Riggs Tobe and Troy Homan, which finished with seven receptions for 108 yards.

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Ayden Simpson connected with Jason Thomas on a 59-yard pass play for Perry’s touchdown. Thomas finished with eight receptions for 87 yards.
