ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment. They are also holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long weather permitting. They are open to all archery equipment. The Archers will be holding a “stump shoot” for traditional bows only the fourth Saturday of each month weather permitting. EQUESTRIAN

Cridersville: The Equestrian Therapy Program is holding a volunteer orientation and training session at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Fassett Farm, 22532 Grubb/Bowsher Road. GOLF

Delphos: An outing to support the UNOH Sport Marketing and Management’s trip to Super Bowl LVII and other hands-on learning experiences in conjunction with Delphos Canal Days will be held Sept. 17 at Delphos Country Club. Cost is $75 per player. Registration will start at 6:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Lunch and an awards presentation will follow. Sponsorships available. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. PICKLEBALL

Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (appointment only). Ada: Ohio Northern University’s Mental Health Prevention and Awareness Committee is playing host to its first GLOW 5K Run/Walk on campus during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 near King Horn Sports Center. The first 50 participants who register will receive an ONU Mental Health Prevention and Awareness water bottle and towel. The cost to participate is $10 or a a non-perishable food item. SOCCER

Lima: Registration is underway for the Lima Family YMCA’s fall league for those ages 4 to fourth grade. Games will be held from Sept. 19 until Oct. 22 at the fields near Safety City on Collett Street. Those 4 and 5 years old and in first through second grades will play at 5:15 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Third and fourth graders will play at 5:15 p.m. or 6:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $25 for Y members and $50 for non-members. All those registering will receive T-shirts and socks. SWIMMING

Lima: New members are being accepting for the Lima Family YMCA’s Barracudas team for those ages 4 to 18 with practices starting Sept. 19. The Y also has a USA Swim Team which gives participants additional opportunities to compete at other Ohio venues. There will be a parent information meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Y, located at 345 S. Elizabeth St. A tryout session will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 so coaches can determine which practice group to place new members. TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting.
