Roundup: LCC’s Judy wins scorecard playoff for boys golf tourney title

OTTAWA — Lima Central Catholic’s Parker Judy won a scorecard playoff against Elida’s Carson Harmon and Kalida’s Connor Nartker after each shot 73 at Wednesday’s Kalida Wildcat Invitational at par 72 Moose Landing.

Harmon then won the tiebreaker using the same format for second place.

Ottawa Hills won the team title with a 326 total following by Napoleon, which had the low fifth golfer score than Kalida after each finished at 330. Coldwater (331) was fourth followed by Bryan and Ottoville (341 each), Van Wert (347), Miller City (352), Elida (354), Bath (357), Lima Central Catholic (371), Defiance and Tinora (376 each), Pettisville (380), Ottawa-Glandorf (384), Delphos Jefferson and Pandora-Gilboa (387 each), Celina (392), Ayersville (393), Paulding (410), Allen East (420) and Arlington (514).

Coldwater’s Nathan Overman (78), Delphos Jefferson’s Isaac Gallmeier (80), Ottoville’s Michael Turnwald (80), Bath’s Braden Binkley (83), Miller City’s Andrew Weis (84), Van Wert’s TJ Stoller (85), Pandora-Gilboa’s Owen Huffman (88), Ty Verhoff (89), Allen East’s Levi Clum (91) and Celina’s Nick Steinbrunner (92) had the low rounds for their respective schools. Not all of the schools’ individual players with their scores were reported.

Auglaize County Invitational

MINSTER — Minster, led by medalist Ray Purdy’s 79, won the team title with a 323 score at par 72 Arrowhead Golf Club. St. Marys (348) was second followed by Wapakoneta (387), Waynesfield-Goshen (425), New Bremen (457), New Knoxville (467), Minster JV (368) and St. Marys JV (440).

W-G’s Chase Dunson (82), St. Marys’ Bennan Steger (85), Wapakoneta’s Zac Niekamp (85), New Knoxville’s jay Waterman (95) and New Bremen’s Bryce Voress (108) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

NWC quad match

OTTAWA — Leipsic had the low total of 166 at par 72 Pike Run Golf Club followed by Lincolnview (178), Columbus Grove (199) and Spencerville (201).

Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt was medalist with a 39. Lincolnview’s Grant Glossett (43), Columbus Grove’s Ethan Williams (45) and Spencerville’s Michael Woods (45) how the low totals for their respective squads.

WOODBURN, Ind. — Parkway had the low team score with a 202 followed by Antwerp (226), Edgerton (232) and Delphos Jefferson (232). Madison Louth (48) and Jefferson’s Caitlin Jettinghoff and Rachel Ryan (54 each) had the low rounds for their respective schools.
