Wapakoneta’s Zach Rogers went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI and 2 runs and Taylor Echols was 3 for 6 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. Braeden Goulet was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and a run and Grant Jolley was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI and a run scored. Alex Lewis ad Kaden Siefring each drove in a run. For Bath, Blaine Albright went 2 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI and a run and Quintin Collins hit a home run and drove in two.

Shawnee 13, Columbus Grove 4

COLUMBUS GROVE — Shawnee’s Peyton Meredith and Derek Rhodes combined on a three-hitter. Meredith went two and one-third innings and struck out two while walking three and Rhodes pitched four and two-third innings, while striking out seven and walking four. At the plate, Meredith went 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run and Blake Reaman had an RBI and three runs. Sage Ebling drove in a run and scored and Keaton Cooper scored twice. Anthony Best and Derek Lyons each drove in runs and Cole Marshall drove in two runs. For Columbus Grove Seth Halker went 2 for 3 and Brenton Renner drove in a run.

Kalida 9, Lincolnview 5

MIDDLE POINT — Kalida’s Drew Buss went 2 for 4 with a double and Justin Siebeneck was 2 for 4 with a triple. Jaden Smith, Colin Hoffman and Carson Klausing all drove in two runs. EJ Miller was 2 for 4 with an RBI. For Lincolnview Landon Price had a double and 2 RBI

Elida 6, Kenton 4

Elida’s Mike Niebel drove in four runs and Gunnar Kuhn scored three times. Ryan McGue drove in a run and Tyler Carter scored twice. For Kenton, Kyle Thrush went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Seth Leffler went 2 for 3 with a run. Tyson Hopkins drove in a run.

Van Wert 9, Coldwater 6

VAN WERT — Van Wert’s Kaden Shaffer went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI and a run and Brylen Parker was 2f or 4 with a double, 2 RBI and 2 runs. Luke Wessell was 2 for 3 with 2 runs and an RBI and TJ Stoller scored twice and drove in a run. Turner Witten and Josh Reichert each drove in a run. For Coldwater, Adam Hrycko was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run and Braylen Harlamert was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run. Keegam Bruggeman was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run.

Riverdale 12, Perry 2

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Perry’s Joey Hoersten went 2 for 3 with a run and Ryan Yingst was 1 for 3 with a run. Hunter Klett drove in a run.

Fort Loramie7, St. Marys 5

ST. MARYS — St. Marys’ Ethan Hollandsworth went 3 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI and Ty Kiehl drove in a run. Cole Koenig went 2 for 4 with a run and AJ Dieringer was 1 for 2 with a run. Joey Caldwell went 1 for 4 with a run.

Celina 3, Fort Recovery 2

FORT RECOVERY — Celina’s Quinn Andrew pitched five innings, scattered six hits and struck out two and Dylan Feister pitched two frames, giving up one hit and walking one. At the plate, Jack Hassan, Zach Greber and Carter Altstaetter all drove in runs. For Fort Recovery, Landon Post went 2 for 3 and Riggs Tobe went 2 for 2 with a run. Alex Dues and Wyatt Bihn drove in runs.

Defiance’s David Jimenez was named Western Buckeye League player of the year and Defiance head coach Tom Held was named coach of the year.

Making the second team were Bradyn Shaw (Defiance), Gratn Jolly (Wapakoneta), Carter Schimmoeller (Ottawa-Glandof), Ethan Rupert (Van Wert), Dylan Feister (Celina), Austin Williams (Bath), Gavino Gomez (Defiance), Turner Witten (Van Wert), Alex Macke (Ottawa-Glandorf), Derek Lyons (Shawnee).

On the third team were Sage Ebling (Shawnee) Kaden Shaffer (Van Wert), Mike Niebel (Elida) Quentin Collins (Bath), Cole Koenig (St. Marys) Luke Leffler (Kenton) Ty Kiehl (St. Marys), Zach Rogers (Wapakoneta), Joel Rasor (Bath) and Jack Hassan (Celina).

Elida’s Carly Schiles went 3 for 4 with two home runs, 6 RBI and two runs and Leah Ramirez was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. Eva Irons drove in two runs and Cadence Miller scored three times. Kylie Biglow went 2 for 3. For Shawnee, Haylee Worm went 2 for 3 with a home run, an RBI and a run scored and Kaylee Grant hit a home run. Bailey Bullock was 2 for 3 and drove in a run.

Ridgemont 14, Waynesfield-Goshen 2

MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont’s Whitney Bailey went 1 for 2 with 2 runs and an RBI and Brooke Nelson, Braxton Thomas and Amanda Howland each drove in two runs. Kylie Shreve also drove in a run. For Waynesfield-Goshen, Leah Whener was 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Elgin 10, Ridgemont 0

MOUNT VICTORY — Ridgemont’s Whitney Bailey had a hit. Elgin pitcher Alyvia Roth struck out 11 and gave up one hit.

St. Marys’ Karsyn McGlothen and Wapakoneta’s Allie Wilson shared player of the year honors and Wapakoneta’s Bill Sammons received coach of the year honors.

On the second team were Shelby Marstellar (Bath), Elizabeth Hoffman (Defiance), Lacie Moening (Elida), Karissa Frederick (Celina), Renee Sweigart (St. Marys), Haylee Wurm (Shawnee), Carlee Young (Van Wert), Addie Fisher (Wapakoneta) and Emily Van Horn (Wapakoneta).

UPLAND, Ind. — The University of Northwestern Ohio opened the in the opening round of the NAIA National Championship opening round with a 12-7 over Taylor Monday. Racer Shakur Jackson went 2 for 5 with a home run, 5 RBI and 2 runs and Luis Yadl Rivera Gotay hit a home run, scored three times and drove in two runs. Christian Perez went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI and Josue. Ortiz went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI.
