Roundup: Coldwater wins girls bowling sectional

MINSTER — Coldwater claimed the Division II girls sectional bowling champiship Friday at Community Lanes .

The Cavaliers finished with a 3,773 total.

St. Marys (3,446) and Fort Recovery (3,387) also qualified for districts.

Coldwater’s Lily Schoenherr had the high three-game series off 611 followed by teammate Jasmine Schulze ^02). New Bremen’s Marina Schulze (588) was third and qualified individually along with teammate Megan Ritter (515) and Bath’s Jenna Sprague (505).

Napoleon Sectional

NAPOLEON — Van Wert finished 31 pins from being among the three district qualifiers finishing with a 3,533 total. Napoleon was the team champ with a 4,049 total with Bryan (3,658) and Liberty Center (3,564) also advancing. Lincolnview’s Zoey Tracy was among the trio making districts individually with a 583 three-game series.

BOWLING GREEN — The Wapakoneta boys (204 points) finished second behind team champ Lexington (268) at Bowling Green State University.

The Wapak 200 freestyle relay earned an automatic spot at state with a first-place finish. The top two finishers at each of the four district sites qualified for state. The next best 16 times will also advance.

On the girls’ side, Ada’s Lily Baumgartner earned a second place finish in the 100 butterfly.

ARLINGTON — Carson Parker (21), Billy Bourk (15) and Evan Unruh (10) scored in double digits for LCC (11-9).

Shawnee 74, Elida 56

ELIDA — Austin Miller (19), Nick Pasion (11) and Ja’Mari Johnson (10) scored in double digits for Shawnee (15-7, 6-3 Western Buckeye League). Kahlig Wash and Austin Miller each had nine points for Elida (3-19 0-9 WBL).

St. Marys 59, Celina 37

ST. MARYS — Austin Parks had 16 points and Kyle Steininger scored 13 for the host Roughriders (14-7, 6-3 WBL). Josh Rasawehr had 15 points for the Bulldogs (6-15, 2-7 WBL).

Van Wert 54, Bath 46

BATH TOWNSHIP — Garett Gunter had 16 points and Carson Smith and Aidan Pratt scored 10 each for the visiting Cougars (16-5, 6-3 WBL). Britton Hall had 10 points for the Wildcats (7-15, 2-7 WBL).

Crestview 64, Leipsic 52

CONVOY — The Knights (15-6) finished in a tie with Blufftton for the Northwest Conference championship at 7-1. Gavin Etzler (15), Wren Sheets (14) and Rontae Jackson (12) reached double digits for Crestview. Mason Brandt had 31 points and Paul Maag scored 13 for the Vikings (14-8, 4-4 NWC).

Spencerville 53, Delphos Jefferson 31

DELPHOS — Josh Henline had 18 points and Dylan Smith scored 16 for the Bearcats (19-3, 6-2 NWC). Colin Bailey had 15 points and Caden Carder scored seven for Jefferson (6-16, 1-7 NWC).

Lincolnview 49, Ada 41

ADA — Garrett Richardson had 13 points and Ethan Crow score 10 for Lincolnview (5-17, 3-5 NWC). Cayden Murphy had 13 points and Grant Preston scored 11 for Ada (4-18, 0-8 NWC).

North Baltimore 64, Temple Christian 52

NORTH BALTIMORE — Ashton Draper and Landon Callahan each had 14 points and Cody Motter scored 10 for Temple Christian (5-16).

Wayne Trace 71, Ottoville 58

OTTOVILLE — William Miller had 26 points and Carter Schnipke scored 12 for the host Big Green (13-9).

Upper Scioto Valley 62, Ridgedale 30

MORRAL — Connor Sanders (17), Jackson Rohrs (13) and Maddox Underwood (12) scored in double digits for USV (19-3).

St. Henry 48, Parkway 34

ST. HENRY — John Hartings and Bennett Gels each had 10 points for St. Henry (12-10, 4-5 MAC). Caden Slusher had 17 points and Gabe Schaaf scored 13 for Parkway (8-14, 4-5 MAC).

Games rescheduled

Due to Thursday’s inclement weather several sectional games were rescheduled.

Those game include:

The Division III sectional final between Delphos Jefferson and Spencerville will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Lincolnview.

The Division IV sectional final between Ayersville and Lincolnview will be at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Bryan.

The Division IV sectional semifinal between Fort Jennings and Kalida will be played at 7:30 tonight at Bluffton Universtiy with the winner taking on Bluffton at 7 p.m. Monday at the same venue.
