NAPOLEON — The Ottawa-Glandorf girls and Wapakoneta boys won Western Buckeye League swimming and diving championships Saturday.
The O-G girls finished with 317 points followed by Wapakoneta (287), Shawnee (178), St. Marys (148), Defiance (98), Elida (97), Kenton (93), Van Wert (65), Bath (41) and Celina (31).
Ottawa-Glandorf’s Marissa Beckett (200 IM), Abby Warnecke (50 freestyle), Taylor Knott (100 freestyle) and Kenzington Cupp (500 freestyle), Wapak’s Katie Bauer (100 butterfly) and Addisyn Newman (100 breaststroke), Van Wert’s Haley Chiles (200 freestyle) and Shawnee’s Taylor Morris (100 backstroke) and Defiance’s Lilly Lacey (diving) were among the individual event winners.
Caitlyn Rostorfer, Newman, Makenna Krouse and Callie Sutton won the 200 medley relay, Bauer, Ainsley Bump, Elizabeth Sidener and Newman were first in the 200 freestyle relay and Warnecke, Cupp, Knott and Beckett were first in the 400 freestyle relay
The Wapakoneta boys finished with 359 points followed by Shawnee (189), St. Marys (158), Ottawa Glandorf (137), Van Wert (137), Bath (110), Kenton (103), Celina (52), Defiance (28) and Elida (26).
Alex Honigford won the 200 IM and 500 freestyle in a meet record time of 4 minutes, 51.74 seconds, and teammate Cameron Reichenbach won the 50 and 100 freestyles for Wapak. St. Marys’ Dylan Hertenstein (diving), Reese Triplett (100 backstroke) and Griffin Luebke (100 breaststroke) and Van Wert’s Sam Houg (200 freestyle) and Jayden Welker (100 butterfly) were also individual event winners.
Wapak’s Owen Becker, Ross Honigford, Aidan Schneider and Gannon Casebolt won the 200 medley relay, Gavin Sutton, Luke Wierwille, Reichenbach and Alex Honigford were first in the 200 freestyle relay and Alex Honigford, Sutton, Wierwille and Reichenbach finished first in the 400 freestyle relay.

PORTLAND, Ind. — Versailles won the girls and boys team championships.
The Versailles girls finished with 130 points followed by Coldwater (116), New Bremen (94), Fort Recovery (88), Marion Local (32), Minster (30) and St. Henry (17).
New Bremen’s Annie Jiang won the 200 and 500 freestyles and Fort Recovery’s Teigen Fortkamp was first in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Marion Local’s Kylie Niekamp (200 IM), Versailles’ Ava Shardo (100 butterfly), Fort Recovery’s Melissa Laux (diving) and Coldwater’s Carlee Goodwin (100 freestyle) and Heidi Bruns (100 breaststroke) were also individual event winners.
Goodwin, Bruns, Rachel Wenning and Izzy Byer were first in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays and Lydia Borger, Byer, Bruns and Wenning won the 400 freestyle relay.
The Versailles boys had 142 points followed by Minster (116), New Bremen (92), Marion Local (65), Fort Recovery (18) and St. Henry (3).
Evan Vanskyock won the 50 and 200 freestyles and Zach Ahrens was first in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke for Versailles. New Bremen’s Andy Jiang won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Versailles’ Alex Smith (100 freestyle), Minster’s Alex Albers (500 freestyle) and Coldwater’s Austin Ebbing (diving) were also individual event winners.
Louis Magoto, Lucas Stammen, Russell Heid and Albers finished first in the 200 medley relay and Ahrens, Michael Menke, Daniel Waymire and Vanskyock won the 200 and 440 freestyle relays.

NORTH ROBINSON — The Bluffton girls were third and the boys were fourth at Colonel Crawford. The Pirates’ Riley Verb won the 200 IM in a meet record time of 2:06.35. Verb’s second-place time of 57.87 seconds in the 100 backstroke was faster than the previous meet mark.
Ada’s Lily Baumgartner won the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. The Bulldog girls finished fourth and the boys were seventh.

ASHLAND — Bluffton University tuned up for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a Saturday matchup against NCAA Division II heavyweights Ashland and Findlay.
Ottawa-Glandorf grad Brooke Kleman established a new school mark with a time of 1:13.43 good for fifth place in the 100-yard breaststroke. She also eclipsed her previous school mark with a time of 1:00.51 in the 100-yard freestyle.

UNOH picked
to win conference
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference and the NAIA have released their Preseason Coaches Poll. The Racers were voted to win the WHAC Championship and sit at No. 16 nationally heading into the campaign.
As six-time defending WHAC champs, UNOH earned 49 points and garned all seven first place votes. Last season’s runners-up, Indiana Tech, came in second with 42 points and Cornerstone rounded out the top three.
