Girls basketball roundup: Miller City collects 13th victory

MILLER CITY — The host Wildcats improved to 13-3 on the season with a 43-28 girls high school basketball victory Saturday against Wayne Trace.

After holding a 20-13 halftime advantage, Miller City outscored Wayne Trace 17-9 in the third quarter. Abi Lammers had 21 points, nine rebounds and four steals, Ava Ruck scored 10 and Grace Pfau contributed eight assists for the Wildcats.

CELINA — Riley Trentman had 12 points and Abi Powers scored eight for the visiting Cardinals (13-5). Taylor Klingshirn had eight points and Kira Dirksen scored five for the Bulldogs (3-14).

CONTINENTAL — Macie Kauser and Janae Pease each had nine points for the Panthers (8-9). Bryn Tegenkamp had eight points for the Pirates (2-13).

KALIDA — Camille Hovest and Andrea Burgei each had 16 points and Whitney Unverferth scored 10 for the Wildcats (9-9, 3-2 Putnam County League). Lacie Fenstermaker had six points and Lauren Teders scored five for P-G (8-10, 2-4 PCL).

ROCKFORD — Gabrielle Stober (22), Allison Hughes (20) and Paige Williamson (12) scored in double digits for the Panthers (11-7).

Bath 44, St. Henry 15

ST. HENRY — Anne Oliver had 11 points and Ava Craddock scored 10 for the Wildkittens (13-5). Camryn Ahlers and Leah Lefeld each had four points for the Redskins (5-12).

Leipsic 47, Ottoville 32

LEIPSIC — Whitney Langhals had 14 points and Ava Henry scored 11 for the host Vikings (12-5, 3-1 PCL). Carly Thorbahn had 17 points and Elise Kramer scored eight for the Big Green (8-12, 4-3 PCL).
