and Stashu Patterson, Coldwater’s Sam Obringer and Columbus Grove’s Landen Schroeder.

CONVOY — Archbold defeated Spencerville 66-12 in the first-place match, Crestview topped Lincolnview 45-14 for third place, Parkway downed Defiance 39-18 for fifth place, Maumee triumphed 42-24 against Elida for seventh place and Hicksville was a 54-9 winner against Antwerp for ninth place.

ADA — For the second consecutive game, the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team came took to the court missing four starters and eight players overall due to COVID-19 protocols.
Muskingum took advantage, racing to a quick 16-3 lead en route to a victory at the Steele Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 7-6 overall and are 1-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies improve to 4-11 (1-7 OAC).
Landen Long scored 16 points, Garrett Chapin added 13 points and Columbus Grove graduate Tayt Birnesser chipped in 12 points for Ohio Northern.

ONU game canceled
ADA — The Ohio Northern game at Muskingum on Saturday was canceled due to COVID-19 protocol issues at Muskingum.
Per updated Ohio Athletic Conference guidelines, the game will be declared a no contest and will not count toward the league standings. The Polar Bears have a 9-4 record (3-3 OAC).

ADA — The Polar Bears (3-1 overall, 3-0 OAC) clinched at last a share of their 13th regular season title in school history and their second in the last five seasons at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
Jeremy Adams and Calob Copeeach won three individual events to lead ONU.
Adams won the 200 free in 1:46.53. Ten minutes later, Adams won the 100 breast in 1:00.56. He also took the 100 free in :48.33.
Cope swept the distance events, winning the 1,000-yard free in 10:04.43 and the 500 in 4:52.89. He also won the 400 I.M. in 4:20.06 to complete an impressive day.
In all, ONU won 14 of the 16 events in the meet.

ADA — The Polar Bears (3-2 overall, 3-0 OAC) clinched at least a share of their 10th regular season title in school history and their first since 2016 at the ONU Sports Center Natatorium.
Megan Lubinski and Mara Brown won three events each for Ohio Northern.
Lubinski won the 200 free in 2:00.41, the 50 free in :24.92 and the 100 free in :53.93.
Brown won both butterfly events and claimed the 400 I.M. She took the 200 fly in 2:18.83, the 100 fly in 1:01.61 and the 400 I.M. in 5:01.57.
