ARCHERY
Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment. They are also holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long. They are open to all archery equipment. Lima: Registration is underway for a bus trip to a Cincinnati Reds home game against Detroit at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. The cost is $75, which includes a game ticket, round trip transportation, sandwiches and snacks. All beverages will be $1.50. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. BASKETBALL
Fort Wayne, Ind.: Gym Rats and the Indy Heat are playing host to a pair of free clinics for coaches of all levels at the SportONE Fieldhouse on Saturday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 16, with a lineup of speakers. The clinics start at 9 a.m. and are hosted by former Indiana Tech coach Dan Kline. Registration is requested by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. Lima: the UNOH Sport Marketing & Management Golf Outing will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, at Springbrook Golf Club. This year’s event is centered around helping fund a trip for a select group of UNOH students to volunteer and gain unbelievable experience at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles in February. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. There will also be a dinner where awards will be handed out. Cost is $75 per player, which includes green fees, cart and two drink tickets. Sponsorships are also available. Findlay: The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law is sponsoring its inaugural golf outing Friday, Oct. 8, at Findlay Country Club. The event is a fundraiser for the law college’s public interest scholarship, which is awarded to qualified ONU law students who spend their summers providing assistance to those in need. The scholarship helps students with their summer living expenses. Registration is open for foursomes ($600) or individuals ($150). Each player will receive two beverage tickets, a gift bag, a raffle ticket and lunch. A reception will be held after the outing to present awards and prizes, recognize donors and sponsors and announce silent auction winners.
