Women’s college basketball: Ohio State tops Iowa

COLUMBUS – Jacy Sheldon has a career-high 29 points in No. 11 Ohio State’s 92-87 women’s college basketball victory Thursday night against Iowa.

The win pushed Ohio State to 11-2 on the season and the Buckeyes swept the season series with Iowa for the first time since 2008.

Sheldon, who went 3-of-20 in her previous two games, bounced back Thursday, making 8-of-12 from the floor and a career-best 12-of-14 from the free throw line.

Dorka Juhasz had 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds and Aaliyah Patty chipped-in with 15 points and six rebounds also for the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes had 20 assists on the night with a career-high nine coming Madison Greene, who also had 12 points.
