Fulcher named top TRAC player

Fulcher named TRAC Player of Year

Lima Senior’s Josiah Fulcher is the Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys basketball Player of the Year and the Spartans’ coach Quincey Simpson is the TRAC Coach of the Year.

Lima Senior’s Jamir Simpson was also a first-team selection and Khalil Luster was on the second team. Jourdyn Rawlins and Da’san Clair received honorable mention.

USV’s Sanders Player of Year in NWCC

Quinn Sanders of Upper Scioto Valley is the Northwest Central Conference boys basketball Player of the Year after averaging 29.8 points, 12 rebounds and 4.3 blocked shots a game in league games this season.

Perry’s Chazz Jackson and Brayden Knight were first-team All-NWCC and Will Knight was on the second team. Terry Riley and Jeffery Simpson received honorable mention. The Commodores’ coach Matt Tabler was the NWCC Coach of the Year.

Perry’s Tia Barfield was on the girls first team and Lily Floyd was on the second team. Zierre Thompson and Semira Healey received honorable mention.

Elgin’s Bekah Muselin was the girls Player of the Year.

Mangas, Erford named top players in WBL

Shawnee’s George Mangas and Ottawa-Glandorf’s Kelsey Erford led the voting for the boys and girls All-Western Buckeye League basketball teams.

Shawnee’s John Barker, Ottawa-Glandorf’s Ben Westrick, Van Wert’s Owen Treece, St. Marys’ Ethan Steger and Defiance’s Will Lammers were also on the boys first team.

Bath’s Ruby Bolon, Ottawa-Glandorf’s Brianna Schimmoeller, Elida’s Amira Freeman, Wapakoneta’s Makenzie Wilson, St. Marys’ Carly Cawood and Defiance’s Carlee Smiddy were also on the first team.

O-G coach Troy Yant was named the Coach of the Year.

Reynolds leads voting on All-PCL team

Columbus Grove junior Blake Reynolds is the Putnam County League boys basketball Player of the Year.

The All-PCL first team is composed of five juniors and the second team has two sophomores, three juniors and one senior. Joining Reynolds on the first team are Ottoville’s Joshua Thorbahn and Ryan Suever, Columbus Grove’s Tayt Birnesser and Kalida’s Luke Erhart.

Columbus Grove’s Chris Sautter is the PCL Coach of the Year.

Stammen tabbed top MAC player

Versailles’ Michael Stammen, who helped guide Versailles to a perfect 9-0 mark was named the Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year and his coach, Travis Swank garnered top coach of the MAC.

Joining Stammen is teammate Connor VanSkyokc. Delphos St. John’s Brady Parrish also made the first team. Also on the first team were Brian Bihn (Fort Recovery), Clay Schmitz (Fort Recovery), Alex Eyink (Marion Loca) Justin Nixon (Minster) Nolan Bornhorst (New Bremen), Carson Bierlein (New Knoxville), Dylan Hughes (Parkway), Caleb Kinney (Parkway), and Riley Link (St. Henry).

Delphos St. John’s Isaac Fairchild, Brady Grothaus and Aiden Rode made the second team. St. John’s Matthew Kahny received honorable mention selections.
