Ft. JENNINGS — Lima Central Catholic’ Rosie Williams and Olivia Stolly both had 12 points and Erin Mulcahy added 10 points. Ft. Jennings’ Kristen Leursman pumped in 20 points.

WAYNESFIELD — Waynesfield-Goshen’s Jaelyn Schultz had six points. For Lehman, Rylie McIver and Lauren McFarlend each had 15 points Anna Cianciolo had 12.

ADA — Ada’s Miranda Wills had 12 points and Courtney Sumner add 11 points. For Cory-Rawson, Zoe Chisholm had 21 points and Samantha Roth chipped in 15 points.
New Knoxville 47, Spencerville 41
NEW KNOXVILLE — New Knoxville’s Ellie Gabel scored 19 points and Megan Jurosic added 14 points. For Spencerville, Emma Leis notched 18 points and Nelaya Burden added 10 ponts.

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen’s Kaylee Freund pumped in 18 points and Madison Cordennier chipped in 14 points.

The Lima Bath girl’s basketball game Saturday at Columbus Grove will be a varsity only contest at 10:30 a.m. No JV due to injuries for us and moved up due to OSU/Michigan football.
Wayne Trace vs. Paulding boys
Due to Ohio State taking part in the Big Ten Championship Game on Dec. 7, the Wayne Trace at Paulding boys basketball game for that evening been changed to a 4 p.m. junior varsity start instead of the originally scheduled 6 p.m. start.

Ottawa-Glandorf’s Mitch Kaufman bowled a total of 459 to lead the Titans. Other O-G scores were Brand Utrup (373), Sean Kelley (362), Jarrett Johns (328) and Ethan Schroeder (359),
Volleyball
LCC’s Horstman resigns
Lima Central Catholic head volleyball coach Wes Horstman submitted his coaching resignation last Friday.
Horstman led the program for 11 seasons (178-94), including four district runners-up and one district championship in 2011. The Lady Thunderbirds finished 19-6 this past season. Horstman, a mathematics and social studies teacher at LCC who resides in Rockford, cited time constraints within his family, and an intent to further his education as the reasons for his resignation.
He will continue teaching at LCC. LCC Athletic Director John Schnieders will be accepting applications to fill the open position beginning Dec. 2.

ONU downs Defiance
DEFIANCE — Junior Sydney Ward (Columbus/Upper Arlington) scored a career-high 18 points and senior Emily Mescher (Maria Stein/Marion Local) tied a career-high with 18 points to lead the Ohio Northern women’s basketball team to a 68-59 victory at area-rival Defiance on Tuesday night at the Weaner Center.
The Polar Bears (4-0 overall) out-scored DC 38-22 in the second half to rally from a 37-30 halftime deficit and remain undefeated on the season.
The Yellow Jackets (0-3) were led by Taylor Steinbrunner and Brianna Townley with 12 points each.
