ARCHERY

Allen County Archers

The Allen County Archers, at the corner of state Route 117 and Defiance Trail, have monthly shoots planned. A traditional shoot is held the third Saturday of every month from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Two day shooting events will be held the first Saturday and Sunday of every month through September. CYCLING

Putnam County

The Putnam County Y will once again host the Tour de Putnam on Aug. 26. The ride will include a 25, 50, 75 and 100 mile route to choose from. The tour begins and ends at the PCY — Where the County comes together. The Tour de Putnam will travel through several towns within Putnam County, including Leipsic, Miller City, Kalida, Ottoville, Vaughnsville, Pandora and Gilboa, with plenty of rest stops along the way; fully stocked with snacks and beverages. The routes will be clearly marked, and SAG/Support vehicles will be driving the routes to assist riders in need. All riders must wear a helmet and T-shirts included with your registration while supplies last. Register for this annual event at the Putnam County YMCA, located at 101 Putnam Parkway in Ottawa or online at putnamymca.org under the programs tab. All riders must be in route by 9 a.m. while the 100 milers must be in route by 8 a.m. Come join more than 100 bicyclists on great country roads. GOLF

Lima

The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic is scheduled for Aug. 2 at Hidden Creek Golf Club and Colonial Golfers Club. Entry fee is $85 per golfer or $340 for a foursome, which includes two beverage tickets, a goodie bag, a door prize drawing ticket and lunch. North Baltimore

The Challenged Champions Equestrian Center Inc. is playing host to its annual golf outing Aug. 26. This will be at the Birch Run Golf Club in North Baltimore. It is $50 per golfer, and there will be a first-place team prize, individual contests on every hole, and a chance to win $1,500 for a putt made from 50 feet. Sponsorships and donations for door prizes are being accepted.

Bellefontaine

The 32nd annual Logan County Chamber of Commerce Scramble is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Liberty Hills Golf Club. Contact the Chamber at 937.599.5121 and [email protected] for more information.

PICKLEBALL

Lima

Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima

The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (appointment only). Free for YMCA members and $3 per visit for nonmembers or $20 per month for non members (unlimited play). Individuals can register online at limaymca.net.

Lima

A Beginner Pickleball Lessons will be held a at the Collett Street tennis courts 4 p.m. July 30. All equipment will be provided. Contact [email protected] for more details.

RUNNING

Lima

The first Allan Nott 5K Family Fun Run will be held at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 13 at Allan Nott Honda Toyota, 3500 Elida Road, Lima. Registration fee is a $20 donation to Relay for Life for adults and $5 for those ages 12 and younger. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Lima.

Fort Jennings

a 5k run/walk in Fort Jennings will be held at 6:30 p.m Aug. 12. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., and there will be an awards ceremony following the race. This race is being held in conjunction with the St. Joseph’s Church Festival, with food and drinks available after the race.

Middle Point

A 5k run/walk is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, as part of the eighth annual ballpark festival. Registration is $10 prior to race day and $15 on race day. Contact Alison Hammons at 419-203-4553 for more information.

Spencerville

The 41st annual Spencerville All-Comers Cross Country Meet will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at Spencerville High School on a flat grass course. There is a $2 entry fee. Races include a 1-miler for those 13 & younger and and 5k for all ages. Entry forms available online at spencervillerunning.com. Lima Sabres
