Locos top Settlers,move to 4-1 on year

NEWARK — The Lima Locos scored five times in the fourth and twice in the fifth on their way to earning a 7-2 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League victory Wednesday night against Licking County, improving to 4-1 on the season.

Winning pitcher Chase Burks (Mercer) threw six innings, allowing two earned runs, seven hits and a walk while striking out four. Jaxxon Fagg had two hits and three RBI, Josh Wooten (University of Cincinnati) had two hits and an RBI and Will Kilgore (Georgia State) doubled and had an RBI for the Locos.

The Locos will play host to Southern Ohio at 7:05 tonight at Simmons Field.
