AEROBICS

Senior classes

Senior Citizen Services, 3400 W. Elm St., Lima, offers classes open to the public at a cost of $5 per class. Classes include Aqua Zumba (10:45 a.m. Saturdays), Zumba (4:45 p.m. Mondays), Step Aerobics (4:45 p.m. Wednesdays) and Water Aerobics (5:15 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays). Aqua Zumba

ARCHERY

Columbus Grove

BASEBALL

Lima

The University of Northwestern Ohio baseball program will host kids’ camps from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 15 and Dec. 6 and 13. Registration starts at 9 a.m. each day. The cost for an individual camp is $50 or all four for $150. Campers receive a free T-shirt and instruction on all parts of the game from head baseball coach Korey Hartman and assistant coach Aaron Lee, along with help from current UNOH baseball players and staff. Lima

The University of Northwestern Ohio will hold high school camps and showcases on Nov. 29 and Jan. 3. The cost for the camp and showcase is $100 or $75 for the showcase only. The camp includes one-on-one instruction and questions sessions with the UNOH coaching staff. The showcase includes a pro-style workout with documented running times, defensive evaluation, offensive evaluation and pitching evaluation, with campers receiving a written evaluation by a UNOH coach. Evaluations will be posted on the UNOH athletics website two weeks after the camp. Coaches and parents can attend for camps to observe and ask questions. BASKETBALL

Delphos

St. John’s boys & girls season tickets (including junior high family passes) will be sold in the high school office from 7:30 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

Lima

A first- and second-grade boys and girls basketball skill development program runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturdays from Nov. 21 to Dec. 19 at Lima Family YMCA, 345 S. Elizabeth St., Lima. Fee is $20 for members and $40 for non-members, including a T-shirt. The program stresses fundamentals, such as passing, dribbling, shooting, offense, defense and sportsmanship. Register by Oct. 31. Rockford

Parkway will host basketball shootouts for boys and girls teams in grades 2-6 on Nov. 28, Dec. 13, Jan. 2, 16, 31 and Feb. 13. All players need to attend the same school district. Bluffton

Bluffton Family Recreation is accepting teams for its sixth grad boys’ and girls’ tip-off tournament in December. Boys play from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 12, with girls playing 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 13 at BFR, 216 Snider Road, Bluffton. Registration is $200 per team through Nov. 30. There’s a three-game guarantee. Van Wert

BOYS

The YMCA Youth Development Basketball League for boys in the second through sixth grades will start in January. All players on one team must be students in the same school district. Players may play up in the next level. A tournament is included in the six-week school season. Coaches must register as a complete team by Dec. 21. Second-, third- and fourth-grade games will be played Tuesdays and start Jan. 5. Fifth- and sixth-grade games are scheduled for Mondays and will begin Jan. 4.

Dayton

The Dayton Diamonds Women’s professional team will be holding tryouts every Saturday beginning Nov. 7. Tryouts will be conducted from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at Triangle Park located on Ridge Avenue in Dayton.

There is no fee to tryout but proper attire is required. Sweatpants, sweatshirts, cleats or gym shoes.

PICKLEBALL

Lima

Pickleball is played from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Bradfield Center. Beginners are welcome.

Lima

The YMCA Annex is open to pickleball players from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When entering the facility, check in at the security office. Courts are in the two gyms. Free play for members and non-members during October.

SHOOTING

Lima Sabres

The Lima Sabres has weekly trap shooting practice from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays all year round at 5090 Hanthorn Road. There is also a trap at 9 a.m. Wednesdays and Thursday Night Trap Shooting, beginning at 6 p.m. Member meetings are held at 7 p.m. the last Wednesday of the month from January through October. There are no meetings in November and December. Upcoming special events include Lima Sabres Bowling Pin Match (Nov. 8). Sabres E.D.G.E. Junior Pistol Team Practice is set for Dec. 6. Findlay

The University of Findlay softball program will hold skill lessons for pitching, catching, hitting and fielding on Sundays in November. They run from 6 to 7 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex. Only 20 spots will be available for each hour session. Dates for lessons are Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22. TENNIS

Lima

An open doubles charity tennis tournament will be held at Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center, 3101 W. Elm St., Lima, from noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 22. Proceeds go towards the purchase of tennis sports chairs for the wheel tennis players in Midwest Ohio. It’s open to youth and adults at all skill levels. Cost is $25 per person, and you don’t need to be a member to participate. Pick up registration forms at Westwood. Classifications include men’s open, women’s open, girls’ junior open and boys’ junior open, with awards for finalists. There will also be raffle prizes.
