WAYNESFIELD — With two nights of racing in the books for Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket, The UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions made their yearly visit to Waynesfield Raceway Park.

Sheldon Haudenschild got his first UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victory of the 2015 season and his second career victory with the series. The Wooste native survived one caution, countless laps of lapped traffic and a continuous battle with James McFadden to win.

“This feels great,” Sheldon Haudenschild said, “I just want to thank all of my sponsors and my crew … my mom and dad … everyone … this wouldn’t be possible without all of those guys…I want to give Bonzai Bruns credit for helping us change things around a little bit … hopefully we can do this night-in and night-out.”

The Performance Powder Coating ASMA Mini Sprints joined the All Stars. A total of 24 mini sprints signed in to compete for a spot in the 20-car field A-main won by Rod Henning. Gage Etgen was second and Chris Bounds finished third.

Racing returns to Raceway Park Saturday night. The program includes the Buckeye Machine Non Wing Sprint Cars, Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints, Post Agri Service UMP Modifieds, Block Insurance Tough Trucks and Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts. Pitside gates open at 4 p.m., grandstands at 5 p.m. Hot laps get underway at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
