HAMILTON — The Hamilton Joes snapped the Lima Locos four-game winning streak.

Hamilton bumped off the Locos 8-3 in a Great Lakes Collegiate League game Saturday night at Foundation Field.

The game was tied at 3 entering the home sixth. Hamilton scored four in the bottom of the sixth to pull out to a 7-3 lead.

Matt Hamons (Union) took the loss in relief.

The Locos (5-3) are at Hamilton for a 7 p.m. game today. The Locos return home against Southern Ohio at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Hamilton is 6-3.

Michael Bonifay (North Greenville) started for the Locos and worked five innings. He gave up three runs, all earned, on seven hits. He struck out two and walked one.

Hamitlon’s Zac Carey earned the win. He went 5 2/3 innings and gave up two runs, both earned, on seven his. He struck out five and walked none.

For the Locos, Luke Reynolds (Mississippi State) went 4 for 4. Will Kilgore (Georgia State) went 2 for 5 with a double and a triple. Catcher Billy Lipari (Evansville) went 2 for 4 with a solo home run and two RBI.

Mitch Carriger (Maryville) went 2 for 5 with a double. Brett Murray (Creighton) went 1 for 4 with an RBI.

The Locos knocked out 12 hits, while Hamilton had 14 hits.
