LIMA — Unemployment rates remained steady in Allen and Auglaize counties in December compared to the prior month and were lower than the 2022 rates, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services.

U.S. 30 exit ramp to close Friday

VAN WERT — The Ohio Department of Transportation will close the U.S. 30 eastbound exit ramp to U.S. 127 for several hours, weather permitting, starting around 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, to micro mill the pavement for traction.

Putnam County Library events slated for February

OTTAWA — The Putnam County Library will be hosting several events throughout February. Community members are welcome to participate in “Blind Date with a Book.” At each location, patrons can grab a wrapped surprise book to check out.
