New clerk in Allen County
LIMA — The vacated position of the clerk of courts has now been filled. Interim Clerk Jennifer McBride was selected as the official clerk for Allen County. The Republican party made the announcement Thursday evening.
Flags to be lowered in honor of Queen Elizabeth II
COLUMBUS — In accordance with orders from President Joe Biden, Governor Mike DeWine has ordered that the flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the State of Ohio until sunset on the day of interment.

Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities to close Friday, holding in-service
LIMA — The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be closed for an all-staff in-service on Friday, September 9, 2022. The in-service day will cover all the annual requirements for providing developmental disabilities services. In addition, the in-service will honor the employees for the important services delivered in Lima/Allen County. Two annual employee awards and service awards for 20 and 25 years of services will also be presented.

Natalie McGee, the relative of two young children, was honored with an official proclamation from the Commissioners Thursday morning declaring September as Kinship Care Month in Allen County.
