Huffman announces Capital Budget funding

LIMA — Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman (R-Lima) announced over $11 million in funding for Capital Budget projects in the 12th Senate District:

• The Cheryl Allen Center will receive $2 million.

• Simmons Field will receive $664,000.

• Reservoir Mill in St. Marys will receive $500,000.

• Bradfield Community Center will receive $480,000.

• Wapakoneta Parking and Pedestrian Plaza will receive $380,000.

• The St. Marys Theater and Grand Opera House will receive $300,000.

• Schoonover Observatory will receive $200,000.

• The Swiss Community Historical Society will receive $100,000.

• The Auglaize County Fair will receive $65,000.

• The Allen County Fairgrounds will receive $10,000.

• The Village of Waynesfield Veteran’s Park will receive $900,950.

The Senate announced a $350 million investment in Ohio Communities from the One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund last week.

The Capital Budget will also fund upgrades for Ohio public schools and local infrastructure projects. The state funds the budget with the sale of bonds.
