LIMA — Councilman Derry Glenn will hold a Juneteenth celebration for middle school students from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19 at 1409 Cedar St., Lima.
Children will plant flowers, enjoy fruit and dessert and receive a handout explaining the history of the holiday that celebrates the liberation from slavery in Texas.
