Gardening lunch and learn series coming to Children’s Garden

LIMA — The Allen County Master Gardener Volunteers will again host their Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Series at the Children’s Garden, 620 W. Market St., Lima, at 12:15 p.m. Tuesdays beginning June 4 and ending Aug. 27.

Talks last approximately 30 minutes with a wide variety of topics. The schedule of topics for 2024 is as follows but is subject to change:

• June 18, The Joy of Gardening

• June 25, Invasive Insects: Spotted Lanternfly

• July 2, Daylilies

• July 9, Wicked Plants

• July 16, Shady Characters – Shade Plants

• July 23, Small Water Features

• July 30, It’s for the Birds

• August 6, Pass-Along Plants

• August 13, Tomato Varieties

• August 20, Soil Building

• August 27, No Bees No Honey – All About Bees
