ROSEMONT, Ill. — Pandora-Gilboa High School’s quiz bowl team competed in the Small School National Championship in Chicago on April 27.
The team finished in eighth place in the traditional public schools division, tied for best performance by any team from Ohio, and finished fourth among very small schools’ teams.
Chase Dettrow captained the team, alongside teammates Braden Gerding, Holiday Herman, Brayden Hoffman, Tyler Pugh, Ethan Recker and Jacob Recker.
Leo Recker and Joyce Suter coached the team.
P-G was one of 15 Ohio teams to advance to the national championship.
