Honor Flight to take veterans to D.C. memorials

FINDLAY — The 26th Flag City Honor Flight will be transporting 91 veterans to Washington D.C. on Tuesday.

The trip will include visits to the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the World War II Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.

Of the 91 veterans taking part, 82 served in Vietnam, eight served in Korea and one veteran served in World War II. Eight of the veterans earned Bronze Stars, with one of those veterans earning two of them, and four Purple Hearts will be represented among the group.

No veteran is required to pay anything for the trip.
