Court staff donates items for Child Abuse Prevention Month

LIMA — In observation of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Allen County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge Todd Kohlrieser and his staff dropped off basic baby supplies to Allen County Children Services on Tuesday.

Court staff collected diapers, wipes and formula that will be passed on to families served by Children Services to help children and struggling families who sometimes don’t have enough money to pay for essential items.

Court staff felt strongly about helping the community’s most vulnerable children and saw this donation as an investment in the future, according to a press release about the event.

“The donation represents much more than diapers, wipes and formula, it represents hope and opportunity and hopefully offers a chance to help break the cycle of abuse and neglect,” the statement said.
