ELIDA — A senior at Elida High School became an Eagle Scout while helping provide easier access to a local reservoir.
Gabriel Harvey, a member of Boy Scout Troop 162, was awarded his Eagle Scout on Sunday. His Eagle Scout project consisted of constructing a handrail for the steps at the Metzger/Ferguson Reservoir while also power-washing the steps at the reservoir and clearing the edges.
Harvey is the 18th scout in his troop’s history to become an Eagle Scout. Harvey plans on enlisting in the U.S. Army after graduation.
