LIMA — The United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Service Technicians will host its first apprenticeship contest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, through Thursday, April 25, at the UA Local 776 office behind the Allen County Fairgrounds, 1300 Bowman Road.
Pipefitter Charles Bohn and welder Josh Wehri will represent Local 776 in the contest, which will bring top apprentices from 15 local unions across Ohio to Lima.
Contestants will compete in plumbing, pipefitting, welding, sprinkler fitting and HVAC service. The winners will advance to the District 2 regional contest in Pittsburg this June.
