TCS educator awarded grant for classroom

LIMA — The Directions Credit Union has announced the winners of its Directions Cares for Classrooms Grant program. According to a recent press release, the grant awarded teachers with $500 for classroom needs including materials, books, software, art supplies and more. The program received over 140 applications. Danielle Ash of Temple Christian School won locally.

“Educators play such a vital role in the lives of their students, and they often spend their own money to purchase supplies, materials, and items to make their classrooms complete or to help students that may need something extra,” President/CEO Barry Shaner said in a recent press release. “Directions Cares for Classrooms is a small way we can say thank you to all the wonderful educators making a difference.”
