LIMA — The Ohio Senate passed House Concurrent Resolution 6 to repeal the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset, per an announcement from state Rep. Angie King, R-Celina.
The resolution urges the statehouse to do away with the WEP, which allowed public employees “to have social security earning potential lowered by up to 50% due to also earning a public pension.”
The house previously passed the resolution in December.
King authored the resolution with Rep. Phil Plummer, R-Dayton.
