COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senate passed a house bill to exempt nursing mothers from jury duty Thursday.
In an announcement, state Reps. Roy Klopfenstein, R-Haviland, and Angie King, R-Celina, applauded House Bill 34’s passage and said it would excuse mothers breastfeeding a child under one year of age with a signed affidavit.
The bill will head to Gov. Mike DeWine’s desk for his approval.
