UNOH sport marketing students gain experience at women’s Final Four

LIMA — Sports marketing and management students at the University of Northwestern Ohio will get some practical experience as part of their education this weekend.

Thirteen students will assist with programming and event support for the NCAA Women’s Final Four basketball tournament in Cleveland. After traveling to Cleveland on Thursday, the students will volunteer Friday at Tourney Town, a tournament-related attraction. Throughout the weekend, students will assist inside Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and also help greet fans as part of the On Location Experience at Progressive Field.

“Our Sport Marketing program at UNOH is built on real-world experiences, and participating at the Women’s NCAA Final Four is another great opportunity for our students,” UNOH professor Phil Gunder said in a statement.
