FORT RECOVERY — The Ohio Department of Agriculture has issued a public notice for a final permit to operate for Mark and Marie Osterholt Farm, 1289 Burrville Road, Fort Recovery. The farm is a swine and turkey company.
According to the Ohio Department of Agriculture website, the purpose of the permits is for existing farms that hope to have new livestock or poultry. The final permit was for a renewal of a previous permit. The farm did not request additional livestock.
According to a recent press release, the permit can be appealed. A notice must be sent before 5 p.m. May 3 to the Environmental Review Appeals Commission, 30 E. Broad St. 4th Floor, Columbus. For more information call 614-466-8950.
