LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation announced a public meeting for possible improvements at the intersection of state Route 117 and state Route 501 in Shawnee Township from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 23 at Gardendale Church of God, 4130 Spencerville Road, Lima.
ODOT is asking for input following a presentation on a project proposing four roundabout plans at the intersection, set to begin construction in summer 2026.
ODOT will present four potential layouts for the public to give feedback in response to studies that found an increasing number of crashes occurring at the intersection despite existing safety measures.
The meeting will have an open house period in which the project team and exhibits will be available.
All materials will be available on the project website after the meeting.
