LIMA — The Lima Exchange Club selected Spencerville senior Kiarah Dodds as the winner of its Accepting the Challenge of Excellence award.
The award, which comes with a $500 scholarship, recognizes seniors “who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance sometime during their high school years.”
The exchange club awarded 11 high school seniors with $300 scholarships and an Accepting the Challenge of Excellence award: Kennedi Shilling, Allen East; Aubrey Gierhart, Apollo; Jordan Wallen, Bath; James Hasting, Delphos-Jefferson; Luke Bockey, Delphos-St. John’s; Amelia Carter, Lima Central Catholic; Ethan Lawson, Elida; Issac Pennington, Lima Central Catholic; Hezakiha Washington, Lima Senior; Alyvia Fox, Perry; Adebowale Olujimi, Shawnee; Kiarah Dodds, Spencerville; and Kenzie Bassett, Temple Christian.
