Marimor to hold free shredding day

LIMA — Marimor Industries will be holding a free document shredding event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 at its facility at 2450 Ada Road, Lima.

The event is open to any business or individual, providing a method to safely and confidentially dispose of documents. All material to be shredded must be dropped off in person, and Marimor will only accept up to 500 pounds of material per person or business for free. Anything above 500 pounds will be billed at 20 cents per pound, a 25 percent discount over Marimor’s regular rate.

Materials suitable for shredding include recyclable paper, documents containing employee information, medical information, insurance information, customer/patient information, obsolete records or contracts and any sales or billing documents. X-rays, microfilm, plastic or adhesive labels are not permitted for shredding.
