Author to give talk at The Met

LIMA — Author Kimberly Nixon will discuss her novels at an event starting at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at The Met, 306 N. Main St., Lima.

Nixon will sign copies of her novels available for purchase, based on her grandmother’s experiences as a trainrobber from Prohibition-era Eastern Tennessee. Nixon has written two books, “Rock Bottom, Tennessee” and its sequel, “Rock Bottom Rising.” Lima is mentioned in the second book, when the main character’s daughter moved to Ohio during World War II to work in a factory making airplane engines.
